Just a lie (Poem)

Do you remember when you said,
For everyone, someone's been made
Oh yes! Yes I do
Did I not tell you?
It was just a lie

When nothing was in sight,
You told it'll be alright
I don't know if it's been
Was this what you had seen?
Oh! For that, did you fall?
I wasn't serious at all

You showed me that I can
I'm divine, in form of man
Now that it's all just broken
Would you care to mend it?
Oh! I never really meant it

Worn Out (Poem)

  And maybe the world
  Has worn me out
  And deprived me of
  All that I had
  Left me defeated
  With nothing to say

Amidst the chaos
Now I'm lost
And nobody cares
For that lame saint

Who said that maybe
Someday you'll rise...

The Rabbit Who Never Stopped

We're all familiar with the rabbit-tortoise story, yes, the one where the faster rabbit lost to the relatively slower tortoise, due to his laziness. The story that had ended with a moral of being more steady. The rabbit was told to learn from the tortoise. And so he did, the incident was remembered by generations of rabbits, it always reminded them of the silly mistake their ancestor had committed and along with that it was a matter of shame for them. The whole species was being seen as lazy lads now, and it disappointed a young rabbit a lot. He knew that he wasn't like that one old folk who had lost, he was different. He believed that rabbits had improved in terms of speed as well as steadiness, and no rabbit was foolish enough to commit the same mistake again. But it wasn't just about his faith, he needed to prove himself to others too. With all these thoughts in his mind, he left his bushes early in the morning, heading straight to the outskirts of the forest, the place where tortoises resided. On reaching there he challenged the first tortoise he saw for a race.

Tortoise refused, "I've got better business to do",
and the rabbit challenged, "Is that the fear of losing?"
"Joy of winning & sorrow of losing don't affect me. "
"Then what is that is keeping you from accepting my challenge."
"I don't accept challenges, I, however can accompany you in a run. "
"See it as whatever you want to."

The Deathbed (Poem)

When I'll be lying on deathbed,
Fake or true tears might be shed.
To my grave you'll come and cry,
When even my memories will die.
Few final words in my praise you'll say,
And then helplessly look the other way.
When I die, who will cry,
All their tears will ultimately dry.
My thoughts might stir you occasionally,
But it'll affect your life's pace barely.
My achievements no more will be celebrated,
Neither will the defeats anymore be elaborated.

Empty Handed (Poem)

Everything is passing by,
Everything is passing through.
Making its way through my soul,
I can't now see even you.

One moment it was with me,
Another one it is looted.
I do feel so much cheated,
How can I be defeated?

Is there something really mine?
Something that can stay with me?
Not punished with stable pain,
Nor rewarded with stable glee.

The Lies (Poem)

The feeling called jealousy
The feeling of despair
The way we act and react
The way we show care

The feeling called sorrow
The so called happiness
The loneliness, emptiness
The joy and the stress

All are just feelings which
Don't even exist physically
The false hope holds us on
'n Then suddenly breaks brutally

Life is still incomplete without 'em
On such lies, this much we've relied
While untouched truth remains silent
And keeps waiting to be tried

Is fake all the beauty
The promises are untrue
The lies are infinite
While truths not even few

The Social Network Effect

Like, Share, Tag, Tweet, Retweet, Follow, Plus1, Pin etcetera etcetera, these words may sound alien to many of the elders but I'm damn sure that almost every student reading this is familiar with these words. How can we not be? These words are a part of our everyday routine. The day starts with a tweet on twitter and ends up with responding to messages and comments on Facebook. Pinning some pictures on pinterest and hanging out on Google+ is also essential. We can somehow manage without food & water but not without Internet even for a day, it's like getting trapped in a void, and getting disconnecting from the world.

There are so many USPs of it. Social education, social music, social videos, social news & social everything. Wanna talk to some friends? Just click! Wanna go shopping? Just click! Wanna entertain yourself? Just click! Nowadays, you can just click to do almost anything, it's easy, convenient & cool. And this conference made me realize that all the social networking addict students' days are almost same. Waking up, going to school, gossiping about social networks, coming back to home, before anything else turning on computer, checking notifications & messages & replying to them, eating lunch only when it's impossible to survive without it, skipping the dinner and then in bed networking once again on phone. Seeing their routine, it can be easily concluded that not only thousands or millions but even billions & trillions merely waste their days, months, years & sometimes ages on social networks.

The Dream Of Flying (Poem)

The poem  a read is a poem about a desire, a strong desire to be free. To get from of the invisible cages of the world, to get liberty of the ageless chains of the self, in which we're always trapped. To find that never ending glee, to see that simple smile on everyone's face. Yes, it's a dream hard to come true but that's something which makes it with dreaming. You're also invited to my divine place. So, at least for a moment, leave everything & come flying with me.
When the sun rises up high in the sky,
I wake up with a dream of flying there high.
Like a bird, who's set free to fly,
Without any bounds, no need to be shy.
With almost no worries or a single tear,
Where not even death is a reason to fear.
Doesn't matter what people think about you,
In a heaven of freedom, where tensions are few.
A world without any profit or loss,
A space where you are your own boss.
Where everyone's voice is heard,
And not everyone's supposed to be a nerd.
Where not everyone needs to be fake,
At least one chance is given to mend your mistake.
Somewhere out of these conservative jails,
Some place simple where only truth prevails.
Where you don't have to think a hundred times about your actions,
Where you future isn't decided by shapes, equations or fractions.
Living in a universe full of material possessions,
Waiting to overcome these meaningless obsessions.
Though, you still can't stop me from flying,
Even if you cut my wings and set me dying.
To break all bonds, often I try,
But then I remember,"even the birds are chained to the sky".
Bob Dylan once said "no one is free",
But how can the same phrase be everyone's destiny?
I hopefully am waiting for that bright day,
When even the birds will get free from the chains of the skyway.
I'm sure, in that dawn of freedom I'll awake,
And not only for me but for everyone's sake.
Until then, the sun will always continue to rise,
And this sweet dream will keep sparkling in my eyes...

A Lost Day (Poem)

A day which I have lost,
The past which is now impossible to change.
The time which I’ve no control over,
Few moments which are now out of my range.

Chances which were always screwed up,
Opportunities which were often messed up with.
I wish it’d ended up as a nightmare,
I wish it’d be just a myth.

I wish I could’ve got back in the time,
And done it all a better way.
If I could’ve reconstructed the moments,
Or simply undone them & walked away.

Wondering what life would have been like,
If it all had somehow worked out.
It’d be damn better than whatever I’ve seen,
I can say that without any doubt.

Unspoken Words (Poem)

A litle introduction before actual poem!!We often have things, secrets or feelings in our hearts, which we want to share with someone but sometimes we don't find anyone. Sometimes we have people close to our heart too but we can't understand how to convey what we feel. And sometimes we leave things on the time only & leave those things, generally, with perception that, maybe I'll be able to say all this later. But sometimes we never ever get another chance & those things are buried along with us & left unsaid, forever. This poems is about those talks & conversations which unfortunately never happen..

Words which were left unspoken,
Dreams which were small yet broken.
Ideas which were plagiarized,
Ambitions which were minimized.
It’s not that I didn't want to say,
I just couldn’t understand how to convey.
Sometimes I was too low to be heard,
And sometimes I kept staring like a nerd.
Sometimes my lips were frightfully trembling,
And sometimes everyone thought I was just mumbling.
Stupidly waited for someone to hear me,
Whereas I muttered a few words merely.
Too much discouraged to try to speak,
Everybody ignored me, as if I was a freak.
Sometimes I was too cowardly to dare,
And when I blared, no one seemed to care.
Often I tried to be polite,
Even then I was told to keep quiet.

Safar (Hindi Poem)

Jeevan ke is safar me
Main thoda thak gaya hoon
Mujhe soya rehne do
Adhoore reh gaye khwabon me
Meethi si kuchh yaadon me
Abhi khoya rehne do
Jaagne ki chaah nahi hai
Safar wahi par raah nayi hai
Saari jhoothi shaan gayi hai
Kachcha ab imaan nahi hai
Shakhs wahi hai mere andar
Lekin ab pehchaan nayi hai
Bheed me tha jo kho gaya
Jaane kya tha usko ho gaya
Jiske kuchh sapne the
Aur dil me apne the
Kisi se nahi koi gila hai
Raste me jo bhi ab mila hai
Jaane na wo kaun apna paraya
Sabhi ko to hai usne sataya
Har pal ye shaks saath hai mere
Kaise khud se ab mukh fere
Kabhi wo bhi waqt aayega
Jab khud ko ye shaks paayega
Khud se jab ye waqif hoga
Is safar ko anjaam tabhi haasil hoga
Tab tak mujhe sone do
Khwabon me khone do

With efforts & hope, All dreams come true...

The common perception is that,"Not all dreams come true, not all desires fulfill & we can't get all things we want & we should forget uncompleted targets & keep moving forward with life." But I don't agree with this concept, I think one shall soever keep trying to get targets achieved until eternity. You can't just leave something in middle just because you suddenly realized that it's gonna be a difficult task, you can't just let your previous efforts go in vain just because you suddenly lost your hope of completing the task. Once you've started a journey, don't think about the upcoming difficulties & challenges you're gonna face on path, think about the satisfaction of completing the journey which you'll feel on reaching destination. Falling several times might be written in your destiny but your destiny will be decided by your decision to get up and continue or sit right there & curse the fate. The main thing is that you have to continue your efforts & keep trying. You might fail several times but if you keep striving vigorously, you eventually will succeed, your dreams will some day come true for sure. You never know how close you are. Never give up on your dreams... They might come true when not needed anymore, they might come true when not wanted anymore, they might come true when they're of no use but sometimes journey is more important than the destination. Feeling of starting something is better than feeling of not even daring to try & feeling of completion is far better than feeling of hopelessly giving up.

Ye Pal - A Hindi Poem About Childhood

Ye pal jald hi beeta kal ban jaayenge,
Shayad ye bhi kuchh to yaad aayenge.
Aur cheating karte pakda jaana.
Chhupa chhupi khelte hue washroom me chhip jaana,
Aur khel poora hone tak baahar hi na aana.
Chhuti ka wo lamba intezaar,
Weekend to jaise laaye bahaar.
Sunday to tha jaise ek tyohaar,
Chahta tha man, aaye yeh din baar baar.
School na jaane ke the bahaane hazaar,
Par kheench hi leta tha doston ka pyaar.
Samay ka dariya pal bhar me hota tha paar,
Jab sang hote the sab yaar.
Wo yaaron ko satana,
Unka naaraaz hokar rooth jaana.
Phir unhe laad se manaana,
Hum sabka wo andaaz mastaana.

Dhool Si Yaadein (Hindi Poem)

Dhool si yaadein bikhar jaayengi
Pal bhar me baatein badal jaayengi
Kuchh na bachega paas tere
Phir kya karega dil tu mere
Mujhko itna bata de
Mujhko itna bata de

Dukh ki ye aandhi mit jaayegi
Andheri raatein dhal jaayengi
Gum ke baadal ye chhant jaayenge
Masti ke lamhe wo phir aayenge

Kuchh bhi ho, phir na tu rona
Muskaan apni kabhi na ye khona
Jeevan hai tera, koi daud nahi hai
Man ki awaazein shor nahi hain

Kya khoya hai, kya paaya hai
Isi me saara jeevan bitaya hai
Aaj yun hi man me ek khyaal aaya hai
Khwabon ke peechhe bhaag bhaag kar aakhir me kya paaya hai
Mujhko itna bata de
Mujhko itna bata de

The World (Poem)

The World, it seems to be very lovely
But all the people here aren't so bubbly
The world, with a lovely sky
Where a bird is like a spy
The world, with things which might be wrong or right
To get something here, sometimes you've to do fight
The world, Here you've to follow some rules
But people who actually do so, are called fools
The world, with really different creatures
All of them with very unique features
The world, full of people who are stupid
Colours of life here are very vivid
The world, some people here are very rude
Surviving here isn't just about food
The world, where same thing differs from mind to mind
Only a few people are here actually hearty kind

The world, it seems to be too different
From it, everything came & to it, went
The world, with each & every different trend
Everything which started here, here only did end

The world, finally there's no conclusion
Sometimes I think, maybe it's just an illusion...

Zindagi Ki Daud (Hindi Poem) - With English Translation (The Race Of Life)

Here's a Hindi poem from Hindi movie "Lage Raho Munna Bhai". I've edited and extended this poem which is originally called "Shehar Ki Is Daud Me".. I've translated it in English too for fellows who don't understand Hindi. (Good thing is that however, it's still rhyming)

Zindagi ki is daud me, daudkar karna kya hai??
Yahi jeena hai yaaron, to phir marna kya hai??
Pehli baarish me train chhootne ki fikr hai,
Bhool gaye bheegte hue tehalna kya hai..
Serial ke saare kirdaaron ke haal to maaloon hain,
Par maa ka haal poochhne ki fursat kahan hai..
Ab ret par nange paanv tehalte kyon nahi??
T.V. par itne channel hain, phir bhi man behalte kyon nahi??
Internet par saari duniya to touch me hai,
Par pados me kaun rehta hai ye jaante tak nahi..
Mobile, landline, sabki bharmaar hai,
Par jigri dost tak pahunche, kahaan aise taar hain??
